Our Operations Team has over 100 years’ experience in groundwater control and general pumping: our specialist knowledge of dewatering sets us apart from the competition.
Khansaheb Sykes was set up in the 1970s following our involvement with Costain International on the Shindegah Tunnel Crossing of the Dubai Creek. Created as a specialised dewatering contractor and pumping equipment supplier for building, construction and petrochemical operations together with water companies and local municipalities, we have been involved with dewatering of major infrastructure projects including Jebel Ali Port and Dubai Dry Docks.
Khansaheb Sykes is a subsidiary of Andrews Sykes Group, the UK’s biggest specialist hire company, our business is founded on the expertise and know-how of Sykes Pumps, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2007.

- Our hire and sales fleet covers both diesel and electric units, in bore sizes from 50mm to 300mm diameter. The bulk of the fleet is based on fully automatic self-priming general-purpose pumpsets.

Service and maintenance
We provide a comprehensive emergency back-up service, covering both hire and sale equipment, with a huge spares holding and high quality workshop repair facilities, plus mobile service engineers based in Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This enables any site breakdowns to be dealt with quickly and professionally; emergency ‘out of hours’ call-out services are also available.
